Professor Dr. Abdel-Rahman Husni Ahmed Abu-Melhim was born in Jerash, Jordan in 1958. He obtained his Ph.D in English Language and Literature from Texas A&M University-College Station (USA) in Socio and Applied Linguistics in 1992. He held many academic and administrative leadership positions, the last of which was Head of the Department of English Language and Literature, Al-Balqa Applied University, Irbid University College. He supervised many master's theses, and published academic research in international peer-reviewed scientific journals. He currently works as a professor of Linguistics and English Literature in the Department of English Language and Literature / Al-Balqa Applied University, Irbid University College, Jordan.
